About Jeanne Hutson
The eastern end of Long Island is home to twelve generations of Jeanne's ancestors beginning with Ralph Dayton, who settled in Southampton in 1640. She grew up in East Hampton Village, and after attending Emma Willard School and Goucher College, she married a naval officer and raised three children. As a military spouse, Jeanne became an experienced mover, relocating with her family thirteen times in twenty years. Her homes have included Pensacola, Florida; Okinawa; Misawa, Japan; Monterey, California; Washington D.C., and Norfolk, Virginia.
She has been a licensed Realtor in both Virginia and New York and has experience in marketing, relocation, property management, and sales. Jeanne was an award-winning property manager for three consecutive years while living in Virginia. In 2010, she moved back to her hometown of East Hampton to continue her real estate career. With an extensive knowledge of East Hampton and its hamlets, Jeanne now enjoys matching buyers with their perfect places. She loves architecture and local history and is a member of the LVIS Landmarks Committee. Other interests include renovating houses, hiking the extensive East End trail system, kayaking in our local harbors, sailing with friends, practicing yoga, and enjoying the multitude of art, theater, and live music events offered throughout the year. Traveling is still not out of her blood, and occasionally she manages to get away and see places that have yet to be checked off her bucket list.
