About Lora Nelson
Lora accredits her real estate success to a combination of her love of the area, her innate ability to understand customers and clients goals, and her fast-paced life-style.
Having been in East Hampton for 30 years, Lora cherishes the network of great friends and deep connections she's forged here - which has also led to a rich, right-on understanding of the market, and how to connect clients to their most perfect property with the least amount of hassle.
In her pre-Hampton life, Lora was an Executive Producer/Creative Director in advertising - first, at Avrett, Free & Ginsberg before joining Doyle, Dane, Bernbach - shepherding such iconic accounts as Volkswagon, Clairol, and Colombian Coffee for 10 years. She then joined the renowned Maysles Films as Executive Producer on such documentary projects as "Grey Gardens: from East Hampton to Broadway" for PBS.
Lora's connectedness to the community extends far and wide - from presenting The Red Carpet Documentary Film Series at the EH Guild Hall, to volunteering at the EH Ladies' Village Improvement Society, and the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor. And every New Years Day you can find Lora at the beach, regardless of temperature, as she is an avid Polar Bear Plunger.
