I have worked in real estate in New York and New Jersey for 30+ years. I grew up on a farm in Maryland, and while I loved the country lifestyle, I moved to Manhattan to pursue my masters degree from Columbia University. I began my real estate career in New York, renting furnished apartments to support myself as a student. During this time, I also fell in love with my current home, Southampton. My husband and I left the city to raise our daughters in the suburbs of Long Island and New Jersey. During these years, I worked as a clinical social worker and ran a private therapy practice; but I always had a foothold in real estate, and I was also an active agent specializing in luxury homes and estates. I have worked as an agent in the Hamptons for the past eight years. My husband and I now live between our apartment on the Upper West Side and our home in Southampton. For me, being around farmland again is reminiscent of my childhood years; and, while I love spending time in the city, this is our family home. I love being here and having a house where our two beautiful grown daughters, and their families, can visit us now. I am excited to join the team at Corcoran in Southampton.
