I first came to the Hamptons in 1973 for a weekend at the beach and instantly fell in love with the area. Born and raised in Virginia, I was familiar with "southern" beach communities but had no idea how undeveloped and naturally beautiful the beach areas of Eastern Long Island would be, and in particular Quogue and Westhampton Beach. So I stayed, married and settled in Quogue with my husband, Mike.After several years of working for various local law firms, I was given the opportunity to become the Sales Assistant to the developers of a large condominium complex on LI Sound in Baiting Hollow. I became instantly bitten by the real estate bug and assisted the developers in the first two phases of condominium construction before deciding to join my husband in his real estate office in Westhampton Beach, the Marketplace.I've been working with Mike, extended family and close friends since 1987 and feel deeply rewarded by the experience. I've been fortunate to meet some really nice and interesting people, to forge new friendships and have referrals come my way. The camaraderie in our small office is really unusual in a real estate setting. It's great fun to work with your best friends every day, knowing they are always there to pitch in when it's needed. It's also great fun to see someone's eyes light up when they find the home that is perfect for them. And that's why I continue to love what I do.
